Deaundre Hill, 27, of Wichita, Kansas, has been identified as the man killed in a shooting on January 21, 2026. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
Deputies responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 1800 block of North Ash Street around 10:30 PM. Upon arrival, they found hill suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital,where he was pronounced dead.
The Sheriff’s Office has not yet released details regarding a potential suspect or motive. Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses adn collecting evidence.
