Why Electric Cars May Cause More Motion Sickness Than Traditional Vehicles

Why Electric Cars May Cause More Motion Sickness Than Traditional Vehicles

October 4, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Electric vehicle passengers experience motion sickness, as some occupants and children report feeling dizzy or vomiting during trips while drivers report zero discomfort. According to bbc.com, 24-year-old London resident Lola Baird started experiencing severe nausea after her friend bought an electric vehicle two years prior, reaching a point where she requested he change the vehicle. While drivers often report zero concern regarding the driving experience, multiple reports highlight that passengers face distinct challenges in electric models compared with traditional vehicles.
