A novel WhatsApp group launched by the Zacatecas-based news agency, Testigo Ocular Noticias, is offering information “sin censura,” or without censorship, according to a post published on Facebook approximately five hours ago. The group, accessible via the link https://chat.whatsapp.com/Bpi2bUJaY5w0lpPbjvbe3T?mode=gi_t, aims to provide updates on events in the region.
Testigo Ocular Noticias, which operates a Facebook page and a TikTok account with 3,908 followers, describes itself as “la agencia de noticias de Zacatecas” – the news agency of Zacatecas. The Facebook page, established in April 2025, has actively promoted the WhatsApp group, encouraging users to join via multiple posts. One post from April 13, 2025, featured the hashtag #WhatsApp and garnered engagement from Antonio Hernandez and ten others.
Recent posts on the Facebook page include reports of a significant traffic collision in the municipality of Calera, Zacatecas. The agency also announced the launch of a “último grupo de WhatsApp” – a latest WhatsApp group – inviting users to receive uncensored information. Testigo Ocular Noticias has not yet issued a statement regarding the specific editorial focus or operational guidelines for the new WhatsApp group beyond the promise of uncensored information.
