What is WTGL? Format, Players, and How to Watch the Women’s TGL
Twenty-five LPGA Tour players will step onto the turf for the inaugural season of the women’s TGL on November 8, 2026, marking a new team-oriented, tech-infused era for professional golf as detailed by skysports.com. While traditional tournaments stretch across sprawling outdoor courses over four days, this new indoor league condenses matches into a fast-paced two-hour arena format.
Inside the SoFi Center Arena Experience
The competition takes place at the SoFi Center, a purpose-built indoor venue located on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Florida, according to sports.yahoo.com. The venue measures nearly 100 yards long and 50 yards wide, accommodating roughly 1,500 spectators. Instead of walking miles alongside ropes, fans watch players hit into a massive 64 by 53-foot simulator screen powered by Full Swing for the long shots, while transitioning to a custom short-game area for shots inside 50 yards.
This setup changes how players experience competition. As TMRW Sports investor and Los Angeles Golf Club player Michelle Wie West noted, the league aims to appeal to a newer audience that wants an arena experience rather than walking 18 holes of a traditional golf tournament. Rufus Hack, President of Golf at TMRW Sports, added that the format specifically targets both core golf fans and casual sports fans looking for spectacle and drama.

Five Teams Compete in Fifteen-Hole Matches
Five teams of five players each make up the inaugural roster, representing Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, Motor City Golf Club, and New York Golf Club. Matches consist of 15 holes divided into two sessions: nine holes of three-versus-three alternate shot triples, followed by six holes of head-to-head singles play where each of the three participating team members plays two matches.
Every hole is worth one point, with the team holding the fewest shots winning that point. Teams also possess three “Hammer” tokens per match to increase a hole’s point value, alongside a strict 40-second shot clock.

The regular season features ten matches. Semi-finals are scheduled for December 20 and 22, 2026, followed by the best-of-three finals starting on December 23.
