JACKSON, Tenn.- The Carl Perkins Civic Center is transformed into a haven for pop culture enthusiasts this weekend as the 2nd annual West TN Comic Con returns to Jackson. The event, which began Saturday, features celebrity guests, unique vendors, and interactive experiences for fans of all ages.
The Comic Con provides a significant economic boost to Jackson, drawing attendees from across the region and filling local hotels and restaurants. It also offers a platform for artists and creators to showcase their work and connect with a dedicated audience. The event continues Sunday, offering a final opportunity to participate in the festivities.
Attendees can meet iconic figures like Lou Ferrigno,known for his role as the original Hulk,wrestling legend Honkey tonk Man,and David Newell,beloved as Mr. Rogers‘ neighbor. The convention also boasts appearances from several voice actors,artists,and popular content creators.
“West tennessee Comic Con. It’s all weekend this weekend. All day today and tomorrow. We’ve got a great crowd so far. We’ve got three floors. We’re taking up the entire civic center,” said Austin Bell, Comic Con Coordinator.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to completion both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $20 plus tax and applicable fees for ages 13 and above, $15 plus tax and fees for children ages 6-12, and free for those under 5 with a paying adult.
