YORK, PA – WellSpan Health hospitals are being recognized for extraordinary quality of care, wiht six facilities named among the nation’s best by Healthgrades for 2025 and 2026. the awards span multiple specialties, including cardiac care, critical care, neurosurgery, pulmonary care, and gastrointestinal treatment, solidifying wellspan’s commitment to patient safety and superior outcomes.
Notably, WellSpan York Hospital is the only hospital in Pennsylvania to receive the prestigious “America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care” award for the second year in a row (2025-2026) and also earned the “America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care” distinction in 2026 - again, the sole Pennsylvania hospital to achieve this honor.

Healthgrades’ analysis, based on risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 4,500 hospitals nationwide, highlights the impact of quality care.
