Port Charles, NY - September 12, 2025 – Longtime General Hospital matriarch Monica Quartermaine will pass away during the week of September 15-19, prompting grief and reflection from her family. The storyline unfolds as a result of actor Leslie Charleson’s ongoing health challenges, which have limited her appearances on the show for years.
Monica’s recent frailty has been a recurring theme on the show, stemming from Charleson’s inability to film consistently. Her final scenes aired in December 2023, featuring a poignant reunion with her daughter Tracy (Jane Elliot) upon Tracy’s return to Port Charles.
