LAS VEGAS, NV – Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) continues its ninth season with another slate of promising fighters vying for a UFC contract. Through six weeks, a total of 25 contracts have been awarded, including four last week, demonstrating the show’s consistent ability to unearth top talent. This season has been marked by explosive action, with 19 finishes in 30 fights – a remarkable 63% finishing rate. Of those finishes, 15 occurred in the first round, and seven within the first 90 seconds.
the high-octane performances have consistently captivated audiences, and Week 7 promises to maintain that momentum as a new group of athletes step into the UFC APEX hoping to impress UFC CEO Dana White and earn a place in the DWCS Class of ’25.
Notably, fighters with a higher “Since Score” – a metric used to evaluate recent performance – have a strong record this season, boasting a 16-13 record (with one push). Historically, fighters with the superior Since Score have secured victories in each of the last four years, achieving a 12-7 overall record during that period.
