L’Équipe to Continue as Domestic Broadcaster of the 24 hours of Le Mans Through 2029
french media group L’Équipe has secured a four-year extension to its broadcast agreement with the World Endurance Championship (WEC), ensuring continued free-to-air coverage of the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans in France through 2029.
The deal, announced today, builds on a partnership that began in 2021. L’Équipe will broadcast 18 hours of coverage dedicated to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including the official race film and the ‘Road to Le Mans’ documentary.
Live coverage of qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will also be included. The remaining seven rounds of the WEC season will be streamed live and free on L’Équipe’s website and app, alongside real-time results, championship standings, and race highlights.
L’Équipe’s newspaper will also expand its coverage, offering increased news reporting, interviews, and exclusive features.
“We are very happy to extend our partnership with la chaîne L’Équipe for four more seasons,” said Frédéric lequien, chief executive of WEC. “This renewal underscores the strength of our collaboration and the growing interest amongst the french public in FIA WEC. We warmly thank Groupe Amaury for its ongoing faith and commitment.
