TUCSON,Ariz. – A lightning delay has postponed the start of the Weber State at Arizona football game, originally scheduled for 6:00 PM MST on September 7, 2025. Kickoff is now not expected before 7:30 PM MST, according to updates from Arizona Athletics.
The delay presents a challenge for both coaching staffs, accustomed to strict pre-game routines, requiring them to refocus their teams. For Weber State, the game represents the largest crowd they are anticipated to play in front of during the 2025 season, having previously played before 24,965 fans at James Madison. Arizona Stadium’s attendance is now likely to be diminished as some fans who sought shelter during the lightning delay may have left the stadium.
Updates will continue to be provided on Zona Zealots’ Facebook and X pages, as well as the official Arizona Athletics social media channels.
