Wareham Red Robin Honors Local Families with Memorial Booths

WAREHAM, MA – The Red Robin restaurant in Wareham has dedicated corner booths as permanent memorials to two local families who have experienced loss, offering a space for remembrance⁢ and continued connection. The initiative, spearheaded by Red robin manager Alyssa Oliveira, provides a lasting tribute for the families of Michael ⁤”Mikey” Botelho and Justin Silva.

The idea ‌stemmed from a request ⁤by Kingsley botelho,‍ Mikey’s mother, to honor her son, who‍ frequented the restaurant with friends and family. Oliveira ‍readily agreed and extended the offer to the Silva family after ⁤learning of⁤ their similar connection to the Red Robin location. “It’s⁢ so sweet,” Kingsley Botelho said. “I love that they do that.” For her, the gesture represents more than ‌just ‍the plaques themselves; it’s about the memories created at the restaurant and the friendships ‌that sustained them.

The memorial booths feature plaques recognizing Mikey Botelho and Justin Silva, ensuring their memory lives on within a familiar and cherished space. “She really is a great friend,” Kingsley Botelho said of Oliveira. “It means everything to us.”

Red Robin’s gesture provides a unique and personal way for the SouthCoast community to remember loved ones, transforming ⁤ordinary dining spaces into lasting tributes to lives lost but ⁤not⁤ forgotten. The‍ dedicated booths serve as ⁣a poignant reminder of ⁤love, loss, and ⁣the enduring power of community.
