Bob Vylan‘s Glastonbury Controversy Continues as Agents Reportedly Sever ties

The fallout from Bob Vylan’s controversial Glastonbury set continues, with reports indicating that their agents have cut ties with the duo. The incident, which saw the band lead a chant of “death to the IDF,” has sparked widespread debate and condemnation from some in the music industry, while others have offered support.

Damon Albarn recently described the chant as “one of the most breathtaking misfires I’ve seen in my life.” However, artists like Chuck D and Massive attack have defended Bob Vylan. Massive Attack urged the media to focus on the situation in Gaza rather than the Glastonbury controversy.

In their first UK show since Glastonbury, held at London’s 100 Club, Bob Vylan asked fans to refrain from chanting “death to the IDF.” The band later released a statement clarifying their position, stating, “We are not for the death of Jews, Arabs or any other race or group of people. We are for the dismantling of a violent military machine.” They emphasized that their actions were intended to highlight the ongoing conflict and not to be the focus themselves.
