The decisive move came after the ascent of Col du Lautaret, the third and final categorized climb situated approximately 130 kilometers from the finish. A leading group of five riders established itself, and despite a brief solo effort from Spaniard Sinuhé Fernández, the quintet maintained its advantage. A late crash within the main peloton, occurring around ten kilometers from the finish, did not impact the stage result.
Race Moves to Spain with Team Time Trial
The race will continue on Wednesday with a challenging 24.1-kilometer team time trial in Figueres, Spain. This event will provide a significant test of team cohesion and strategic pacing.
