Budapest,Hungary – Volkswagen has officially launched the new T-Roc in Hungary,offering consumers a refreshed compact SUV with a focus on modern design and hybrid technology. Initial availability centers around two 1.5-liter, four-cylinder soft hybrid petrol engine options.
Pricing and Trim Levels
The entry-level LIFE model, boasting 115 horsepower and a seven-speed DSG gearbox, starts at 11.3 million forints. For those seeking more power,a 150 hp version is available from HUF 12.5 million. Currently,the sporty R-line trim,equipped with the 150 hp engine and enhanced features,is the most readily available,priced at 14 million forints.
Design and Dimensions
The new T-Roc showcases a modern aesthetic, growing to 4.37 meters in length – a 12-centimeter increase over it’s predecessor. the wheelbase has also been extended to 2.63 meters. Design highlights include a prominent VW logo, available up to 20-inch rims, and a front fascia reminiscent of the Tiguan.
Interior and Cargo Space
Inside,the T-Roc features premium materials,a traditional push-button steering wheel,a digital instrument cluster,and an available 12.9-inch infotainment system. practicality is also improved, with a 30-liter increase in boot space, now totaling 475 liters.
Future Powertrain Options
Volkswagen plans to expand the T-Roc lineup in the future with additional powertrain choices. These include two conventional hybrid models producing 136 and 170 horsepower, as well as a 204-horsepower 2.0 TSI all-wheel-drive variant. Enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of the high-performance T-Roc R in 2027.
