Vive La Magie Festival Kicks Off 2027 Tour in Rennes

November 7, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

The national magic festival Vive la Magie is launching its 19th edition in Rennes, running from January 14 to 17, 2027, at the Le Triangle performance hall, as reported on November 7, 2026. As the festival gets ready to tour across France starting at the beginning of 2027, three distinct productions featuring numerous artists have been scheduled for this year’s edition.

The performances are scheduled for Thursday, January 14, and Friday, January 15, at 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 16, at 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM, and Sunday, January 17, at 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM, with ticket prices ranging between 33 euros and 71 euros.

Organizers structured the production around the concept of time as a tribute to Robert Houdin, whom they designate as the father of modern magic. Ported by a bold staging, the artists deploy all their talents while escaping the codes of the traditional presenter. The lineup features Mervil, the 2023 French magic champion, performing an arrow act involving archery. He shares the stage with Aurore, noted as the first woman to direct the festival, who combines dance with illusion.

Additional performers include Kenris and Aurélia in a tango-infused performance, Jad as the official magician of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony performing a tape-based act, Adrien Kill with a bottle-manipulation bar act, and François Normag serving as the general magician and master of ceremonies.

Mentalism and Childrens Programming at Le Triangle

Alongside the main stage performances, the festival schedule includes specialized shows. Mnemos, a mentalist, performs a 90-minute one-man show titled L’Incroyable cerveau on Saturday, January 16, at 8:30 PM, with ticket prices between 18 euros and 28 euros. For younger audiences, the Scarabée jaune company presents Les Aventures de Mimi Saint-Louis, a 75-minute children’s show running on Saturday, January 16, and Sunday, January 17, at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM for 30 euros.

Organizers have also scheduled hands-on magic workshops for both children and adults during the weekend. Children’s sessions take place Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while adult sessions are held Saturday at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and Sunday at 10:00 AM. Each workshop costs 30 euros and is capped at 15 participants.
