VfB Stuttgart Dominates Go Ahead Eagles in europa League Clash
DEVENTER,Netherlands – VfB Stuttgart secured a decisive victory over Go Ahead Eagles today, winning with a commanding performance in their UEFA Europa League match. The final score reflected Stuttgart’s dominance, with the team demonstrating control throughout the game.
Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß praised his team’s performance, stating,”We deserved to win the game – even at this height. We managed to approach the game with a good attitude and be dominant. We won both halves 2-0 – big praise to the team. It is not a given that we will be triumphant in Deventer.”
Forward Deniz Undav highlighted the team’s efficiency, saying, “We didn’t let anything go wrong today and closed the game early.I’m happy that I was able to prepare two goals; collecting scorer points is always good. But I’m also happy for Jamie that he scored two goals and was named man of the match – and of course for everyone else. We’re currently playing consistently good football, so we have to keep going. We can’t just rest on our laurels and try to enjoy it, but we have to keep going consistently.”
midfielder Angelo Stiller echoed this sentiment, adding, “It was a good game for us. We had a lot of control and forced the opponent to make mistakes. It’s a deserved win that also included some well-played goals. we’re a good team – if we all reach our limits, we can play the games as convincingly as we did today. It was fun on the pitch.”
Jamie Leweling, who scored twice in the match, expressed his delight, stating, “After my goal in the Supercup, I was finally able to score again today. I now want to build on that and keep scoring goals. I’ve already missed a few chances this season, so I’m even more pleased that I scored these two goals. Coming back from a 2-0 draw in Dortmund on Saturday and then equalizing to make it 3-3 in stoppage time speaks for us. And then to produce a performance like that again today, that’s very good. We can build on that.”
Go Ahead Eagles’ Chief Trainer Melvin Boel acknowledged Stuttgart’s superiority, saying, “The defeat is deserved, Stuttgart was the better team. It is indeed a top team, for me the club is one of the strongest teams in this competition alongside Aston Villa and Olympique Lyon. We tried a lot, especially after the restart we had our chances to score the next goal, but overall Stuttgart was simply stronger and mostly controlled the game.”
