VfB Stuttgart Professionals: World Cup Qualification Updates

Bilal El Khannouss of VfB Stuttgart has secured his place in the 2026 World Cup, leading Morocco to qualification with a ‍5-0 victory over Niger. The win places the North African team atop African qualification Group E ⁣with eight points, guaranteeing their participation in the tournament hosted in the USA, Canada,‍ and Mexico.El Khannouss, a recent addition⁣ to VfB Stuttgart, entered the match in the 67th minute with Morocco already leading 3-0. This qualification follows Morocco’s surprising semi-final run at the 2022 ‌World Cup in Qatar.

Another VfB Stuttgart player, Medin Demirovic, also experienced‍ success in World⁢ Cup qualification this weekend. Bosnia-Herzegovina, with Demirovic in the lineup, defeated San Marino 6-0,⁤ maintaining a perfect record of four wins in as ⁢manny games and leading their ⁢qualifying ⁢group. Demirovic was ⁤substituted out in the 62nd minute and did not ‌contribute to the scoring.Additionally, ⁤VfB defender Finn ⁢Jeltsch ‍participated in a 2-0 test ‍match victory ⁢for the german U21 ‌team against ‍Albania. Jeltsch, along with goalkeeper Dennis ‍Seimen (currently on loan to SC Paderborn), was substituted at halftime. ​Germany’s U21 team will continue their European Championship qualification campaign Tuesday evening against Latvia.
