Her absence from the Saturday night performance in Pasto was announced through a communiqué distributed to attendees and media, in which the organizers stated, “With much sadness we tell you that, due to an unforeseen health situation, our beloved Verónica Orozco will not be able to join us today. What matters most to us right now is her well-being.” They also sent a separate message wishing the Bogotá-born actress a speedy recovery and apologizing to ticket holders, assuring them that the remaining artists would perform with “all the music, talent and emotion” prepared for the night.
Orozco addressed her followers directly via Instagram to clarify the nature of her condition. She explained that medical professionals issued a mandate for absolute rest, explicitly prohibiting both air and ground travel. Sharing images from her recovery, the actress expressed her disappointment, stating, “I feel very sad,” regarding her inability to meet the audience in Pasto.
In her Instagram story, she told fans in Pasto that the acute respiratory virus had forced her to stop for several days and that doctors had barred travel, adding, “I hug you with all my heart.” The images she shared showed her resting alongside her prescribed medications and her pet.
