Venezuela’s dictatorship announces that “the conviction” against Álvaro Uribe; Cabello alleges poisoning and suspicious deaths in Uribe’s case

diosdado Cabello has again leveled serious accusations against former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe, labeling him an “offender,” “murderer,” and “narcoparaco” for allegedly promoting paramilitarism during his presidency. This is not the first time Cabello has targeted Uribe; in March 2025, he made similar claims.

Cabello also raised concerns about the trial of Uribe, stating that out of the initial 12 witnesses, nine have died under suspicious circumstances, suggesting a potential cover-up.

In a separate instance at the end of January 2025, Cabello accused Uribe of leading “the world’s largest drug trafficking band,” alleging involvement in forced disappearances and the existence of clandestine cemeteries.

The Democratic Center party,Uribe’s political affiliation, has consistently refuted these allegations, dismissing them as “lies” intended to distract from the current regime’s alleged ties to terrorism and drug trafficking.Thay also contend that figures like Cabello are portraying themselves as victims to gain political advantage.

Responding to the latest accusations, former President Uribe characterized Cabello as a “scammer” and a representative of “Venezuelan tyranny,” asserting that Cabello’s strategy involves creating “smoke curtains” to divert attention.
