Eastern Michigan managed to score a single run in the second inning when Nick Weaver reached base on a walk and subsequently scored on a wild pitch. But, Vanderbilt responded with four more runs in the second, extending their advantage.

Eastern Michigan’s Carter White entered the game in the second inning and managed to strike out six of the nine batters he faced, providing a bright spot for the Eagles. Despite White’s performance, Vanderbilt continued to build their lead, adding three runs in the sixth inning. Eastern Michigan scored their final run in the seventh inning when Keegan Knupp scored off a hit by pitch from Ty Stecko.

The game concluded in the seventh inning due to the run rule, with the final score standing at 16-2 in favor of Vanderbilt.
