TAMPA, Fla. – The University of South Florida Bulls dominated Rice 52-3 on saturday night, securing a decisive Senior Night victory and their second consecutive bowl win. The win marks USF‘s highest point total against an FBS opponent in program history.
USF quarterback Ryan grover orchestrated a stellar performance, completing 21 of 31 passes for 338 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Kaleb Barber added 138 rushing yards and a touchdown, while fellow back Jalen Suber contributed 68 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Mudia Reuben caught five passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Grover’s four touchdown passes bring his season total to 25,the best in program history,while his eight touchdowns are the second most.
The Bulls (8-4) are poised to make their third straight bowl appearance, aiming for a third consecutive bowl win – a feat accomplished only once before in program history.
USF completed its 28th season in 2024 wiht the Hawai’i Bowl victory. Head coach Alex Golesh led the team to a program-best six-game turnaround and a Boca Raton Bowl victory in his first season in 2023. The program has posted 17 winning seasons and has seen 30 players selected in the NFL Draft. USF has made 12 bowl game appearances (going 8-4).
