US-Ukraine Talks: Progress on Unresolved Issues – Vitkoff
U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff described as “constructive” meetings held Saturday in Florida between Ukrainian and American delegations focused on “narrowing the circle of unresolved issues.”
Witkoff announced the outcome of the talks via his social media account, stating, “Today in Florida, U.S. And Ukrainian delegations held constructive meetings as part of ongoing mediation efforts; discussions focused on narrowing the circle of unresolved issues and resolving them in order to move closer to concluding a comprehensive peace agreement.”
The U.S. Envoy noted that the United States welcomes the continuation of efforts aimed at resolving outstanding issues, “recognizing their importance for overall global stability.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously announced that a Ukrainian delegation met on March 21 with U.S. Representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, with further negotiations scheduled for Sunday.
Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, stated that representatives from Ukraine and the U.S. In Florida continued discussions regarding further steps in the negotiation process.
