Ursina Marti has been appointed president of Gymnastics Vilters, succeeding Fabia Lendi and Vanessa Bachner, a transition confirmed at the organization’s general meeting. The change in leadership occurred during a year marking the 20th anniversary of the club, where Eveline Vesti, Marianne Schnyder, and Fabia Lendi were also recognized as honorary members.
The leadership shift comes after a period of activity for the club, including participation in the 2025 Eidgenössische Turnfest in Lausanne. Eleven athletes from Turnverein Vilters competed in the event, with representatives in categories encompassing Geräteturnen (gymnastics), Leichtathletik (athletics), and Fit+Fun, according to an Instagram post from June 17, 2025.
Gymnastics Vilters’ youth division, Vilters Jugend 1, maintains a regular training schedule of twice-weekly sessions, focusing on both refining existing skills and learning new techniques. The group participates in competitions featuring both individual and group routines, with and without apparatus, as noted in a report detailing their 2025 achievements, where they secured 3rd place in the U17 category.
Recent successes also extend to athletics, with Livia Gantner and Vanessa Nigg achieving scores of 140cm and 145cm respectively in high jump, both earning a score of 10. The Schulstufenbarren Riege Vilters also achieved a 4th-place finish in apparatus competition. Madlaina and Ursina Nett made their debut in competition during the past season.
