Universal Studios UK: Government Backs Theme Park with Funding

Bedford Borough Council is set to receive £80 million in funding as it prepares to host the UK’s first Universal Studios theme park, according to announcements made this week.

The financial boost, confirmed by the BBC, is intended to support infrastructure improvements ahead of the planned development. Universal Parks & Resorts is currently seeking planning permission to build the theme park near Bedford, as reported by the BBC.
