Alekseyevka, Belgorod Oblast – Local officials in Alekseyevka, a municipality within Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, emphasized the importance of national unity during a cultural event held on March 22, 2026. The event, featuring songs and dances, highlighted the diverse cultural traditions present throughout Russia, according to a statement released by the Alekseyevka district administration.
The gathering commemorated the contributions of various ethnic groups during World War II, noting that representatives from over 150 nations and ethnicities fought against fascism. Officials stated that residents of different regions are currently focused on developing the economy, education and healthcare, while also preserving shared spiritual and traditional values.
“In Alekseyevka, there are many nationalities living, around 40 nationalities,” said Aleksandr Tretyakov, Chairman of the Alekseyevka District Council of Deputies. “Especially now, in these difficult times, we must unite, be together. By uniting, we will win and make our country stronger.”
The event took place within the context of Russia’s “Year of Unity,” a nationwide initiative that includes a series of concerts, public actions, and educational projects planned across all municipalities. The purpose of these events is to promote cohesion and shared identity, according to the district administration.
