United Airlines will debut its new “Polaris Studio” – a reimagined premium cabin experience – on March 24, according to an announcement from the airline. The debut will occur on the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
The new cabin configuration, first reported by Executive Traveller, features the largest seatback screens currently available on a U.S. Airline. Boeing is nearing delivery of the first 787-9 aircraft equipped with the new Polaris Studio, as reported by Simple Flying. The updated interiors are part of an “ultra-premium configuration” intended to elevate the passenger experience, according to One Mile at a Time.
While United has been anticipating the arrival of these next-generation 787 Dreamliners, the delivery of the first aircraft has been delayed, as noted by PYOK. The airline is eager to introduce the enhanced Polaris experience, which includes the larger seatback screens and updated seating arrangements.
The Boeing 787-9 aircraft will feature the new Polaris Studio, offering passengers an upgraded in-flight entertainment system and enhanced comfort. The airline has not yet detailed specific routes where the aircraft will initially be deployed.
