Ukraine War Updates: Strikes, Gains, and Gas Deal

Ukraine and⁣ Greece Finalize Natural‍ Gas Supply Agreement ⁢Amidst ⁣Ongoing Conflict

Ukrainian forces struck a Russian refinery‍ in novokuybyshevsk, Samara Oblast, overnight, alongside a drone storage site​ belonging‌ to the Rubicon unit and a fuel and lubricant pumping station in occupied Donetsk Oblast, according to Ukrainian military reports.

Oil loading operations resumed Sunday ‌at‌ the Russian port of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai,​ following a two-day suspension caused by Ukrainian missile and drone attacks, Reuters⁤ reported, citing ‌two​ industrial sources.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims to ⁣have captured Rivnopillia and Mala ⁢Tokmatchka in Zaporizhia Oblast, adding⁣ to previously claimed ​gains⁤ in the region this week.

ukrainian forces maintain control over most of Kupiansk, a key transportation hub in Kharkiv Oblast, with Russian ‌troops in the northern districts reportedly cut ⁢off from ground supply lines, ‌according to the joint forces ⁤group, which denies ‍being‌ encircled.

Greece’s DEPA and Ukraine’s⁢ Naftogaz signed a declaration of intent for the ‌supply of natural gas to Ukraine this winter,⁤ from December 2025 ​to March 2026. The⁢ agreement was finalized in the⁢ presence of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is scheduled to visit Paris on Monday.

The Ukrainian army is now allowing foreign volunteers joining its forces to ⁢select their preferred combat brigade, field ‍of activity, and⁢ specialty, based on their training, experience, ⁣and stated preferences.
