Manchester Synagogue Attacker Was Under Rape Examination; Father Praised Hamas
MANCHESTER, England - The man who killed two people in a terror attack at a synagogue in Manchester, England, on Thursday was under investigation for a rape allegation prior to the incident, adn his father has publicly praised Hamas for the October 7th attacks on Israel, authorities revealed Friday.
The attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue has prompted heightened security concerns across the UK and ignited debate over antisemitism and the response to pro-Palestinian demonstrations.UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his wife,Victoria,who is Jewish,visited the site Friday morning,shaking hands wiht emergency responders. Starmer had vowed to “do everything in my power” to protect Jews in Britain.
According to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, UK Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper revealed in a phone call that a recent Labor Party decision recognizing Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide does not reflect government policy and was dismissed by the government. Sa’ar stated he emphasized the need to combat antisemitism, specifically raising concerns about pro-Palestinian marches and protests that he alleges exhibit antisemitic traits and, at times, support for terror.
