UAE Continues Robust Medical Aid to Gaza,Bolstering Health Infrastructure and Preventive Care
In a sustained commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the Palestinian population in Gaza, the United Arab Emirates has delivered considerable medical aid, including over 1,200 tons of medical materials and supplies, and equipped the local health system with 17 advanced ambulances. This ongoing assistance, part of the “Al-Faris 3 operation,” aims to enhance the capacity of Gaza’s hospitals and address critical healthcare needs.
Beyond immediate medical supplies, the UAE has undertaken significant public health initiatives. A comprehensive polio vaccination campaign successfully reached over 640,000 children, underscoring a proactive approach to safeguarding future generations from infectious diseases. Furthermore, the UAE is actively contributing to improving public health infrastructure in Gaza through projects focused on providing access to clean drinking water and repairing sewage networks. These efforts are crucial in mitigating pollution and preventing the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases.
Dubai Cares,a humanitarian organization, has also played a vital role, dispatching three relief shipments to Al-Arish airport in Egypt between January 1 and April 24,2025. These shipments contained approximately 256 metric tons of medical supplies from the World Health Organization, further reinforcing the medical resources available to Gaza.
The medical resources provided to Gaza encompass a wide range of essential equipment and supplies, including dialysis devices, ultrasound machines, pulmonary recovery devices, mobile chairs, artificial breathing masks, and fully equipped ambulances, all contributing to the comprehensive healthcare services available within the Strip.
