UAE and ADNOC Ink €5B Deals with German Energy and Tech Giants in Massive Investment Push

(Adnoc) and the UAE’s industry minister, stated that the agreements build upon existing investments across Germany’s industrial landscape. According to Adnoc, the initial deals involve several prominent German entities, including power firm RWE, industrial giants Siemens Industrial and Siemens Energy, as well as Covestro and Bosch Middle East.
Berlin officials noted earlier in the week that a portion of the capital-rich UAE’s multi-billion euro push will fund data centers boasting a capacity of up to one gigawatt. This digital infrastructure expansion coincides with technology agreements signed by Adnoc with Bosch, Siemens Industrial, and Siemens Energy to explore collaborative frameworks in artificial intelligence and advanced technology.
Expanding Low-Carbon Ammonia and Natural Gas Value Chains
Industrial cooperation extends into chemical supply chains and traditional energy markets. According to Dow Jones Newswires, Adnoc-owned fertilizer producer Fertiglobe, alongside Covestro and MB Energy, signed a pact to support the development of low-carbon ammonia supply chains directed toward Germany. Simultaneously, Adnoc, its investment arm XRG, and Berlin-based Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE) established frameworks to explore strategic opportunities across natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) value chains.
RWE Offshore Wind and Long-Term LNG Deliveries
Power firm RWE announced separate power agreements with Adnoc and clean-energy company Masdar to scale up cooperation in offshore wind auctions and investigate long-term LNG deliveries to Germany and the wider European market. According to RWE, the pact with Masdar will see both companies jointly participate in German offshore wind auctions scheduled for next year, a project expected to unlock more than 3 billion euros ($3.48 billion) in direct investment.
RWE characterized the agreement as a reinforcement of the UAE’s role as a committed investor in Germany’s energy sector. In addition to wind power collaboration, RWE and Adnoc executed a letter of intent aimed at securing long-term LNG supply pathways into Germany and neighboring European economies, underscoring a long-term commitment to continental energy security.
