U of U Health Achieves National Recognition for Ambulatory Care Excellence
U of U Health has once again demonstrated its commitment to superior patient care, earning a spot on the Vizient top performer list and achieving a #4 national ranking in the Vizient Ambulatory Care Quality and Accountability Awards. This prestigious recognition marks the eleventh consecutive year U of U Health has been recognized among the nation’s top ten for ambulatory care quality.
Only five healthcare facilities nationwide received honors in this category,highlighting U of U Health’s sustained dedication to excellence. The achievement is a testament to a collaborative effort across the entire U Health system.

The Vizient Ambulatory Quality and Accountability Study, which determined these rankings, rigorously assessed 66 facilities based on performance across five key areas: access to care, continuum of care, overall quality, efficiency, and consistency of care. The study utilized a thorough scoring system incorporating data from the AAMC-Vizient Clinical Practice Solutions Center®, Vizient Access and Throughput data, and the Vizient Clinical Data Base, analyzing both practice-level and patient-level information from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
