Two Title Matches Set For WWE SmackDown Halloween Episode
“I ain’t asking for a title match.”
High-Stakes Showdown in Charleston
The two title matches are officially locked in for the October 30 Halloween edition of WWE SmackDown, billed as Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in Charleston, West Virginia.
Sami Zayn defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Williams, while Chelsea Green puts the WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Nikki Bella. Both matches carry immediate championship implications beyond West Virginia, as the winners advance directly to Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 7, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Commentary during the broadcast noted that whoever survives the Charleston title bout will face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.
Ramp-Up to the Main Event
The path to the Charleston card intensified when Zayn responded to the opening demand by landing a chop block on Williams. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis subsequently booked a tag team match pairing Zayn and Johnny Gargano against Williams and Rey Fenix.

In the main event, Williams secured the decisive pinfall over Ricky Saints using a uranage, capping off a six-man tag that also featured Penta.
Parallel Chaos in the Women’s Division
The women’s division features a parallel high-stakes track. Green retained her title on October 23 against Roxanne Perez using the Unprettier, setting up her defense against Bella in Charleston. The winner of that match advances to face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in Saudi Arabia.
Immediately following Green’s victory, Women’s Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton attempted to cash in her championship opportunity on Morgan, though Judgment Day intervened by pulling Morgan from the ring before the referee could make the cash-in official.
Rey Fenix Defends Cruiserweight Title Against Ricky Saints
The Charleston card also features Rey Fenix defending the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints. The match stems from the October 23 main event when Saints pulled Fenix off the apron to cause a disqualification, leading management to make the title bout official after the broadcast went off the air. Fenix first defends that championship against Mini Vikingo at AAA Heroes Inmortales on Saturday, October 24, in Mexico City.
Additional appearances are already taking shape for the live broadcast. Gunther stated in a digital exclusive following the October 23 show that he intends to appear in Charleston, telling interviewers he dislikes Halloween and plans to make it a special night.
Meanwhile, WWE confirmed further programming ahead, with CM Punk scheduled to face Kevin Owens on the November 6 episode of SmackDown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. SmackDown airs live at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network and internationally on Netflix.
