Schalke Face Further ⁣Injury concerns ⁣After Karlsruhe Loss, ‌Porath‘s Status Uncertain

GELSENKIRCHEN – FC Schalke 04’s already depleted squad may be facing another setback following their ⁣defeat to Karlsruher‍ SC, with questions arising over the fitness of midfielder ⁢Finn ‍Porath. The potential loss of ⁣porath adds to‌ a growing injury list ‌for the Royal Blues, deepening concerns as they navigate a challenging period in the ⁤2. Bundesliga season.

Schalke ⁣traveled to Karlsruhe without seven frist-team ⁢players, and the possibility of Porath being sidelined further restricts‌ coach Miron Muslic’s ⁢options, particularly ‌on the right side of ‌the pitch.⁤ The club has yet to release an official update on ‌Porath’s condition, but should he be unavailable,Muslic may⁤ be forced to consider youth options⁣ like U19 player ⁤Mika Wallentowitz, alongside Henning Matriciani,to ⁢fill the void.

Before the Karlsruhe match, Schalke were ⁤already without⁢ timo Becker, Tomas Kalas, christopher Antwi-Adjei, Zaid Tchibara, Christian Gomis, Emil Höjlund, and Bryan Lasme⁤ due to injury.

despite the mounting ‍injury woes, Muslic ⁤remains resolute. “There’s a bit of a‌ common thread running through the season.but we never complained or whined,” he stated after the Karlsruhe game. ‌”If players are out, others have to come into‍ the ⁢starting ‌lineup ‌and perform.” ⁣The coach emphasized the importance of team solidarity as Schalke seeks ⁣to turn their fortunes around.
