TV Highlights: We Might Regret This, Celebrity Lingo & More – Tonight’s Listings

The second series of the British comedy drama We Might Regret This began production in June 2025, according to information released by the BBC.

The show, created by and starring Kyla Harris, alongside Lee Getty, premiered on BBC Two on August 19, 2024. It centers on Freya, a Canadian woman in her thirties who is tetraplegic and has moved to London. She relies on personal assistance for her care and ultimately enlists her best friend, Jo, to fill the role of personal assistant.

The cast includes Darren Boyd as Abe, Elena Saurel as Jo, Edward Bluemel, Sally Phillips, and Aasiya Shah. The series is a joint production between Roughcut Television and Village Roadshow Television.

We Might Regret This was initially developed as a pilot for Channel 4 in November 2022 before being greenlit by the BBC in June 2023. Nick Collett directs the series, with Inez Gordon serving as producer and Ash Atalla, Alex Smith, and Rebecca Murrell as executive producers. The story is based on the real-life experiences of Harris and Getty.

The show’s return to BBC Two was previewed alongside other programming highlights, including the celebrity gameshow Celebrity Lingo, a latest series of The Repair Shop, Landscape Artist of the Year 2026, a documentary featuring newly discovered audio interviews with LS Lowry and lip-sync performances by Ian McKellen, and the thriller The Stolen Girl.
