Czech actress and presenter Miluše Bittnerová had a disastrous holiday in Turkey with her husband and five-year-old daughter. They chose a hotel advertised as family-friendly, expecting a peaceful two-week break. Though, upon arrival, they were met with a constant, deafening hotel disco that played day and night, causing their daughter to cry and be unable to sleep.
Bittnerová complained to the hotel delegate, who informed her that loud music throughout the day and night was common in Turkey. Despite moving rooms, the noise persisted. The travel agency offered an alternative hotel 50 km away, but only if they paid an additional significant amount, with no guarantee of a quieter surroundings.
Dissatisfied,Bittnerová and other families filed complaints. The travel agency’s proposed solution was deemed inadequate and costly. Bittnerová plans to seek compensation from the travel agency, stating they were not informed about the true conditions at the hotel, which was misrepresented as suitable for families. The family is returning from their holiday tired due to lack of sleep, calling it an expensive and disappointing lesson.
