##⁤ Trump Announces Plan to Nullify Biden Executive Orders, Citing Autopen Use

Donald Trump has stated his intention to invalidate a significant portion of President ⁤Joe Biden’s executive orders, alleging‌ they were⁣ not directly authorized by Biden.Trump claims “approximately 92%” of Biden’s⁢ executive orders are invalid, asserting they were enacted without the⁤ former president’s specific approval and through the use of an autopen device.

“Joe Biden was not involved in the ⁢Autopen process and, if he says he ⁣was,⁢ he will⁣ be brought up on charges of perjury,” Trump saeid. He has repeatedly suggested Biden was mentally unfit to make decisions at the end of his term and that⁢ management⁣ officials⁣ may⁣ have⁤ forged his signature using the autopen.

The proclamation has ⁤sparked controversy, as the use of autopens⁣ by presidents to sign official documents is a decades-long⁤ practice. Trump himself utilized‍ an autopen during his own presidency. Despite this, trump is now ‍questioning the validity ‌of pardons and other documents signed by Biden ‍with the device.

The⁣ plan to nullify Biden’s actions raises legal questions, as there is no evidence of any attempt to bypass Biden’s will during his final term.

The announcement was quickly ⁣praised by Republicans. Oversight‌ Project, a branch of‌ the conservative Heritage Foundation, thanked Trump for “taking our ‍historic‍ Autopen investigation and findings ‍seriously.” Congressman James Comer, ⁤chair of ‍the house oversight committee, welcomed the announcement, declaring Biden’s autopen actions “NULL AND VOID.”

A report released by Comer’s committee ⁣in ‌October alleged a “cover-up of the president’s cognitive ⁤decline” and claimed White House officials enacted policies without Biden’s knowledge. However, Democrats on the committee denounced the ⁤report as a “sham,” pointing out the lack of supporting evidence. Legal experts have also cautioned that attempts⁢ to void past executive actions⁢ could establish a problematic precedent, given the widespread historical use of autopens by⁢ presidents. The report focused heavily on pardons granted by‍ Biden that were particularly frustrating to ‌Donald Trump.
