True Bangkok United departed Suvarnabhumi Airport on Saturday, February 16, 2026, en route to Australia, preparing for the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 Round of 16 tie against Macarthur FC.

The team, led by head coach Thachatawan Sriphan, known as “Coach Ban,” includes players and staff members. They will compete against Macarthur FC on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:45 PM local time (2:45 PM Thailand time), according to reports from Khaosod.

True Bangkok United advanced to this stage after finishing second in Group G with a record of three wins, two draws, and one loss, accumulating 10 points. Macarthur FC qualified as the champions of Group E, achieving four wins, one draw, and one loss for a total of 13 points.

The first leg of the Round of 16 saw True Bangkok United defeat Macarthur FC 2-0 at True BG Stadium. The upcoming match presents an opportunity for the Thai club to secure a place in the quarter-finals – a first in the club’s history, according to Matichon.

Coach Ban previously stated his intention to secure a victory over Macarthur FC, aiming to gain an advantage before traveling to Australia, as reported by Siam Sport. A post-match press conference following the first leg featured Coach Ban discussing the game, as seen on a YouTube video posted by BG Sports.
