Travis Kelce Inspired Taylor Swift’s “Opalite” House Remix by Chris Lake

Taylor Swift is releasing a house remix of her song “Opalite,” a collaboration sparked by her fiancé Travis Kelce’s enthusiasm for the work of British electronic dance music producer Chris Lake. Swift confirmed Kelce’s role with a post to Instagram, playfully declaring him her “in-house house guy.”

The remix originated from a direct message Kelce sent to Lake on Instagram, according to a post from the producer. Kelce, a known fan of Lake’s music, informed him that he and Swift had been listening to his tracks and suggested a remix of “Opalite.” Lake responded by offering to create a remix specifically for Swift, to which Kelce enthusiastically agreed, calling Lake a “legend” and expressing excitement to hear the finished product.

Kelce’s positive reaction continued once Lake completed the remix. He shared his excitement in further direct messages, stating, “It’s so good dawg, I’m gonna be rippin this shit every car ride!!” He also confirmed that Swift had approved of the remix, adding, “She loves it too!! She said her teams gonna reach out asap!”

“Opalite,” a track from Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department, has become a favorite of Kelce’s. He initially revealed it as his preferred song from the album during an episode of the New Heights podcast. Swift later affirmed his continued fondness for the track in an October appearance on Capital FM, stating, “He loves that one.”

A CD version of the “Opalite” remix is currently available for pre-order on Swift’s website. The full release of the remix is anticipated, though a specific date has not been announced. Swift recently released extended music videos for “Opalite” on Friday, offering fans additional content while they await the remix.
