Travis Barker reveals arm surgery after month of numbness
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 50, revealed he underwent surgery on his arm, hand, and fingers following a month of numbness, pagesix.com reported. The musician shared updates via Instagram Stories after posting concerning hospital photos that sparked widespread attention from fans.
Nerve Testing Reveals Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
Barker experienced persistent numbness in his upper extremities following a live performance last month. Following a nerve test conducted on a Monday after a show, medical evaluation indicated that he required a cubital tunnel release procedure to correct the issue.
Cubital tunnel release is a surgical intervention designed to relieve pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Compressed nerves in this region frequently cause numbness in the ring and little fingers, alongside hand weakness.

He wanted to address the condition immediately to maintain his performance capabilities over the long term.
Recovery projections indicate the drummer expects to regain full function within a few weeks.
Barker Shares Hospital Photos with Family
The announcement followed initial hospital photographs that prompted online concern. Barker first published an image seated in a medical gown alongside his 20-year-old daughter, Alabama.
A subsequent image showed his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, kissing him in the hospital room. Barker later posted a selfie in a surgical cap and gown, accompanied by Kardashian, while lightheartedly questioning her cheerful expression in the hospital setting.
Barker Faces Series of Medical Challenges
The recent arm surgery marks the latest in a series of medical challenges for the musician. In 2023, Barker dislocated the ring finger on his left hand and tore ligaments during band rehearsals just prior to a Blink-182 reunion tour. That injury required scans, pain injections, and temporary postponement of concert dates.
Blink-182 Plans European Festival Dates for June
Current tour interruptions are minimal due to the band’s existing break from the road. Blink-182 plans to resume live performances next year.
Scheduled appearances include European festival dates in June. The itinerary features stops at Rock For People in Czechia, Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, the Waldbühne, I-Days IPPODROMO SNAI SAN SIRO in Italy, and a final scheduled performance at Plentitude Arena in Paris on June 15.
