Toyota GR Yaris Targets Youth at Motomobi Carnival 2026
The Motomobi Karnaval 2026 took place from April 4 to April 5 at Qbiq BSD, featuring a showcase of new automotive models and a display of various family cars from different eras.
Toyota utilized the event to target a younger demographic through the promotion of the GR Yaris. This strategic focus aligns with the introduction of the 2026 model year GR Yaris, referred to as the Type 26, which incorporates a series of rally-bred upgrades.
The GR Yaris development is closely linked to the GR YARIS Rally1, an evolved vehicle built according to FIA Rally1 technical regulations. These regulations, which replaced the World Rally Car standards used until 2021, were established to move the World Rally Championship toward a more sustainable era of competition.
Event Highlights and Brand Launches
Beyond the Toyota displays, the annual event featured the introduction of a modified Daihatsu Ayla V6 by Om Mobi, which is equipped with a 3,000 cc engine. The gathering also served as the official launch platform for a new clothing brand called BOOSTED.
The exhibition at Qbiq BSD combined the presentation of these modern performance modifications with a retrospective look at family vehicles, positioning the event as a broad appeal gathering for automotive enthusiasts of various ages.
