Tottenham Manager: Next Boss Odds – De Zerbi, Pochettino, Heitinga & More

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank, the club confirmed on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, after a run of poor results that leaves the team 16th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone.

The decision follows a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday night, marking Spurs’ seventh home loss in 13 matches. The club statement offered no immediate details regarding a replacement.

Roberto De Zerbi, recently departed from Marseille, has emerged as a leading candidate to take over, according to multiple reports. De Zerbi left the French club by mutual consent on Wednesday morning, following a 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and Champions League elimination. Marseille cited a need for change to address sporting challenges for the remainder of the season.

Jamie O’Hara, a former Tottenham player, has publicly advocated for De Zerbi’s appointment, while Sky Sports reports that Oliver Glasner, currently at Crystal Palace, and Mauricio Pochettino are also under consideration. Glasner has already announced his departure from Selhurst Park at the end of the current season.

Spurs are seeking their sixth permanent manager in seven years. The club is expected to initially pursue an interim appointment until the end of the season, given the anticipated movement of managers across various clubs this summer. Marco Silva of Fulham and Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth were previously on the club’s radar, even during Frank’s tenure.

Manchester United’s managerial situation is also expected to influence the landscape, with Michael Carrick’s short-term deal set to expire this summer. The potential availability of managers from other clubs could shape Tottenham’s long-term search.
