Thomas Frank believes Tottenham is “cursed” with injuries after learning Lucas Bergvall may be out for a long time.
The 19-year-old midfielder will miss Saturday’s Premier League game against Burnley. He hurt his ankle during Tuesday’s Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund, and the club fears he could be sidelined for several months.
Bergvall’s injury is the 19th for Tottenham this season, the same number as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Leeds. Spurs players have missed a total of 625 days due too injury, just behind Newcastle’s 640.
Frank has eight first-team players injured, including Mohammed Kudus, rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison, and Ben Davies.
