Ann Hopper, Mr. Byrne’s wife, is a descendant of early Madison County settlers, according to an obituary published in November 2023 for another Ann Hopper of Huntsville, Alabama. The obituary noted her parents were Charles G. Given and Nona McMullen Given. We see currently unconfirmed if this Ann Hopper is a relative of Mr. Byrne’s wife.
