Masha Slamovich Addresses Domestic violence Allegations,TNA Launches Examination
Professional wrestler Masha Slamovich issued a statement Wednesday addressing allegations of domestic violence made public Tuesday by a friend of her former partner, autonomous wrestler AKIRA. TNA Wrestling has subsequently launched an internal investigation and removed Slamovich from a scheduled championship match.
SlamovichS statement, posted on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledged a “toxic and mutually destructive relationship” with her former partner. “Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve,” she wrote. “I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.”
She stated she has sought help to address the issues and apologized to those affected, including her former partner, expressing hope for his healing. “This will be my only statement on the matter,” she concluded.
As an inevitable result of the allegations, TNA Wrestling has pulled Slamovich’s scheduled Knockouts Championship match against Ash by Elegance from this Friday’s Victory Road special. The match has been removed from the TNA website and social media platforms. Additionally, Slamovich has been removed from appearances at two independent wrestling shows: Prestige Wrestling and West Coast Pro Wrestling.
