tennis fans in South Korea will have a​ rare prospect to witness a showdown between two of the sportS ⁤brightest stars, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, ⁣in January. The exhibition match, dubbed the Hyundai Card ⁤Super Match, is scheduled for January 10th in ⁣Incheon, ‍just days before the start of the australian Open.

This contest arrives at a pivotal moment in the rivalry between Alcaraz ‍and Sinner, who have dominated men’s ⁢tennis ​in recent months, claiming nine of the last ten major titles between them. The exhibition offers fans a first‌ look at the pair competing on korean soil ​and serves as a key warm-up ahead of the⁤ first ⁤Grand Slam of the ‌year, beginning January 18th in Melbourne.

Currently, Sinner holds the world number ‍one ranking, having overtaken Alcaraz on sunday following his ‌victory at the Paris Masters. His 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win over Felix Auger-Aliassime propelled‍ him ⁤250 points ahead of Alcaraz in the rankings before the ATP finals ⁤on November ⁤9th.
