## West Virginia University welcomes Students with Sierra Ferrell Concert
West Virginia University will welcome students back to campus with FallFest featuring singer-songwriter Sierra ferrell, a West Virginia native and roots musician [[1]]. The event will take place Monday, August 18, at the Rec Center Fields [[1]]. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with performances beginning at 7 p.m. [[1]].
Ferrell, a four-time grammy winner, is known for her unique and captivating musical style [[1]]. She won the Grammy Award for Best Americana album for “Trail of Flowers” in 2024, along with awards for best American Roots Song and performance [[1]]. Her music blends bluegrass, old-time, and honky-tonk influences [[1]].
Also performing will be Seneca, a band founded by WVU students, and DJ Max Clark from U92 The Moose [[1]]. Seneca features vocalist Andrew Parsons, guitarist Dylan Hunt, drummer Chris Little, bassist Jared Longmore, and pianist Graham Sterling [[1]].
