From Dubai Nightclubs to Divine Encounter: Woman Shares Journey From Despair to Faith
ATLANTA, GA – Nadeen, a woman who once lived a life of apparent luxury and pursued solace in New Age spirituality, the occult, and a nomadic search for fulfillment, has shared her powerful story of finding peace through Christianity after contemplating suicide. Her journey, detailed in a recent account, reveals a descent into emptiness despite achieving material success, culminating in a life-altering encounter sparked by an unlikely invitation.
As a teen and young adult, Nadeen sought relief from pain through various avenues, including New Age practices, occultism, studying with a Buddhist monk, and immersing herself in social scenes. This search eventually led her to a glamorous lifestyle in Dubai and Atlanta, where she amassed wealth and attention. However, she found these pursuits ultimately unfulfilling.
“I had everything-money, cars, attention,” Nadeen recounts. “But it meant nothing.”
The emptiness reached a breaking point one night in Atlanta, surrounded by cash in her apartment.Overwhelmed, she decided to end her life, taking a week off work at a nightclub to prepare. She wrote letters to loved ones and meticulously planned her suicide, intending to jump from a building.
A pivotal moment arrived when a friend, a drug dealer begining his own spiritual journey, invited her to church. Hesitant but with nothing to lose,Nadeen accepted, attending a service wearing the only covering she had – a shirt depicting the Virgin Mary with an AK-47.
During the service, the pastor read Matthew 16:26-“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?”-a verse that resonated with Nadeen with startling force.
“My jaw literally dropped and I’m looking around, everyone’s quiet, everyone’s chill, and I’m ready to scream in my chair! I’m thinking to myself, who wrote that? Who is Matthew? What book is this in? What is Matthew’s last name? How does he know so much about me?” she described.
That night, during an altar call, Nadeen experienced what she describes as a transformative encounter with Jesus, beginning to break free from lifelong torment. Further study of the Bible confirmed her conviction that her cries for help had been answered by Jesus, not the various spiritual paths she had previously explored.
Nadeen credits the drug dealer friend with being instrumental in her journey, stating, “If that’s not the love of God, someone dead in sin himself, invited me to church!”
Today, Nadeen is married to Rotimi and together they lead Kole Ministries, a ministry dedicated to sharing the freedom they found through faith in God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.
