Lindelöfs Reverse Course: Family Remains in manchester Despite Aston Villa Transfer

BIRMINGHAM, England – Victor ‌Lindelöf‘s recent transfer to‍ Aston Villa prompted a summer⁢ of upheaval⁢ for his family, but a change of heart has seen the Lindelöfs remain rooted in‍ Manchester, commuting to Villa Park for matches. The⁢ decision, driven by a desire to minimize disruption for their children,‍ involves a 75-minute drive each way for the⁢ footballer.

Maja Nilsson lindelöf, Victor’s wife, revealed the family initially planned to ‌relocate⁢ to Birmingham following the transfer. Though, ⁢they ‍ultimately decided against uprooting their children from their⁢ current schools and established support ‌network.⁤ “We thought about ⁤it and we can’t move to Birmingham and send⁣ the children to ⁣new schools and ‌that everything should be ‍new, when we are so close ⁢to their ‍home.‌ It is not justifiable,” Nilsson ⁢Lindelöf explained.⁢ The family⁣ had begun preparing for a move, packing up‌ their ⁣manchester ⁣home in ‌June with the lease expiring on september 1st.

The decision necessitated reversing their earlier ⁢plans to ⁢store belongings in England, requiring the return of ⁤all‍ items to their Manchester residence. Nilsson Lindelöf jokingly described the situation as a ⁢”Walk of Shame” anticipating awkward encounters at her children’s kindergarten. She also expressed immense pride in her⁣ husband, ‍stating, “I am so‍ proud of Victor, all ‌the choices he made this summer and who he is as a person. He is the best in the world.”

The couple had initially said goodbye⁣ to their‌ community in June, with Nilsson Lindelöf admitting to crying “every other day from‍ January to may” in anticipation of the move. The family’s story was shared alongside a link⁢ to an Instagram post detailing their experiences. (
