Utah is experiencing a surge in film and television production, with the Utah Film Commission announcing a slate of seven projects slated to generate over $15.5 million in economic impact and 300 new jobs across six counties. Among the productions is the 22nd season of ”The bachelorette,” which will be filmed throughout the state this fall.
The influx of projects underscores Utah’s growing appeal as a filming location, offering both scenic landscapes and modern infrastructure. Lex Pascual,Vice President of Production Incentives at Warner Bros. Discovery, highlighted Utah’s unique qualities, stating, “Utah offers an extraordinary and diverse curtain of natural background that is perfect for this romantic series.” The productions are expected to bring activity to Salt Lake, Summit, utah, Washington, Wayne, and Weber counties.
“The Bachelorette” isn’t the only high-profile project heading to Utah.Local filmmaker Gary Auerbach’s documentary, “Monsters & aliens,” will film in Summit and Salt Lake counties before the end of the year. Additional productions include the western “Blood On The Promontory,” the autonomous feature “Iconoclast,” the children’s series “Ladybug’s Garden,” the documentary “into the Wilderness,” which follows a group therapy program,and a hybrid production currently titled ”Jesus is US.”
