San Francisco Men’s Basketball to Face Colorado in Sixth All-Time Meeting
The University of San Francisco men’s basketball team will begin its “feast Week” schedule on Thursday against the Colorado Buffaloes. This contest marks the sixth meeting between the two programs,with USF currently holding a 3-2 advantage in the series.
The Dons and Buffaloes have a history dating back to 1955, including a memorable NCAA Tournament National Semifinal victory for San Francisco. In that 1955 matchup,USF,led by bill Russell’s 24 points and nine rebounds,defeated No. 15 Colorado 62-50 en route to winning the NCAA National Championship. Colorado won the most recent meeting, 72-55, on december 3, 2014, in Boulder.
